Most customers know the result they want, but not always the best way to get there. You may know you want cleaner land, better access, less brush, a driveway, improved drainage, or a usable building site — but the right approach depends on the property. We look at the land, access, soil, slopes, drainage, trees, brush thickness, and your long-term goals before recommending the best solution.
During a property walkthrough, we take the time to look over the work area, listen to what you want done, and understand the final result you are hoping for. This allows us to see the property conditions in person, including access points, brush and tree density, terrain, drainage concerns, utilities, property lines, debris, wet areas, slopes, and any areas that need to be protected.
A walkthrough helps 1776 Land Solutions create a more accurate estimate because every property is different. What looks simple in photos may involve hidden obstacles, limited access, soft ground, large stumps, buried debris, drainage issues, or extra cleanup. Walking the property together gives us a clear understanding of your goals so we can recommend the right equipment, explain the best approach, and provide an estimate that matches the actual scope of work.
Forestry mulching is a land clearing method that uses specialized equipment to grind brush, saplings, small trees, and overgrowth into mulch directly on the property. Instead of removing all vegetation, roots, and debris from the site, the mulcher cuts and shreds the material, leaving a natural layer of mulch on the ground.
Traditional land clearing is usually more invasive and may involve cutting, pushing, digging, stump removal, root removal, piling, burning, hauling off debris, grading, or preparing the land for construction. This method is often better when the goal is to fully clear an area for a home site, shop pad, driveway, pond, fence line, or other project that requires dirt work or root removal.
Forestry mulching is a great option for cleaning up overgrown land, opening trails, improving visibility, clearing underbrush, maintaining hunting property, and making land more usable while leaving a cleaner, more natural finish. Traditional clearing is better when the land needs to be fully cleared, reshaped, excavated, or prepared for future construction.
Absolutely. 1776 Land Solutions can handle larger land clearing and property improvement projects, including acreage clearing, forestry mulching, driveway access, drainage improvements, pond work, grading, site preparation, and debris cleanup.
For larger jobs, we can also break the project into phases. This allows customers to prioritize the most important areas first, spread out the cost, and develop the property over time.
Before the project begins, it is important to have the work area clearly prepared so the job can be completed safely, efficiently, and without unnecessary delays. Please mark any known property lines, fence lines, gates, septic systems, water lines, electrical lines, gas lines, sprinkler systems, culverts, wells, or other underground utilities before equipment arrives.
If there are any hidden or buried objects on the property, such as metal, concrete, wire, T-posts, old fencing, tires, trash, tools, lumber, or other debris, those items should be removed or clearly identified ahead of time. Forestry mulchers and excavation equipment are built for tough work, but unexpected debris can damage machines, slow the project down, and create additional costs.
